Sprouting Speech Therapy is a pediatric private practice dedicated to serving children and their families in Asheville, North Carolina, and neighboring towns, including Candler, Canton, and Waynesville. Services are offered at our clinic location or in the environment the child is most comfortable in. Whether it be your home, your child’s daycare/preschool, or at the park! We also offer teletherapy services for residents throughout North Carolina.

At Sprouting Speech Therapy, we support children of all ages in pronouncing sounds, using more words, finding alternative and effective ways to communicate, and expressing their individual thoughts and ideas. Through compassion, positivity, and continuous learning, we strive to help guide you and your child as they grow.

Meet the Therapist!

Annie Bartholomew, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Annie is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist with the experience working with children of all ages and abilities. She enjoys getting to know each child and learning their strengths and difficulties to best help them share their own voice with the world. She values building a partnership with family members and providing them with resources to support their child at home. Annie especially loves watching children grow, being their advocate, receiving hugs and high fives, and providing a positive and supporting role in their life.

Annie obtained her Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Carolina University and her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from New York University. She is licensed in the state of North Carolina and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Annie has advanced training in gestalt language processing (NLA Trained through Meaningful Speech) and AAC devices.
